Some people get saltwater pools confused because they associate saltwater with the ocean, but there isn’t anywhere near the amount of salt in a saltwater pool as there is in the ocean. With a chlorine based pool, you need to continually purchase chlorine to make your pool usable. This can add up to a huge bill after a long summer of regular swimming. Saltwater pools may cost more upfront, but they will end up saving you a lot of money. Saltwater pools basically recycle their own chlorine. A process called electrolysis lets salt water move across a metal plate that contains an electrical current, and by doing so, creates chlorine.

Salt can act as a great disinfectant to help keep everything clean. This is especially great if you have any children who are often swimming with open wounds or scratches from playing outdoors. It’ll keep their injuries bacteria free. Salt water will help keep your pool safe from germs or bacteria, making your swimming experience all that more enjoyable.
Healthy Living
Traditional chlorine pools are associated with a whole lot of issues that wreak havoc on the human body. If you swim in them for too long, they will cause your skin and eyes to become irritated. Some swimmers have even reported lung irritation. Saltwater pools are much more easy on your skin and body and will make you feel much more healthy after a nice swim.
