Spring is here, Baltimore! Along with the warmer weather, we here at Sunrise Premiere Pool Builders are sure that one of the things you’ll want to jump into as soon as the heat hits is a pool. Make a statement to your neighborhood and community by adding a new pool to your current home landscape. If you already have a Maryland pool, Sunrise Premiere Pool Builders can turn that pool into the oasis getaway that you always imagined it could be. We believe that a Maryland pool is a reflection of your lifestyle. We make pools that are custom-tailored to complement your home’s architecture and you.
Our experienced designers will help you create the pool that is just right for your taste, and your property. Whether you want a big pool or a small pool, an ornate arrangement or a simple pool situation. We also offer a wide variety of standard pool designs for you to choose from as well. Here are a few tips for opening up your pool for the Maryland springtime:
- Remove the pool cover – Make sure you remove any debris that may have built up on the pool cover. Whether it is a solid or mesh pool cover, store it in a rodent-free environment and if storing them outside use moth balls to prevent insects and rodents from nesting in the covers.
- Restart the filter/pump system – Remove the expansion plugs and reassemble the filter, pump, heater and any other mechanical parts that are required to run your pool. Prime the pump system as required and once the system is started, adjust the valves and the fittings for a proper pool flow.
- Perform a thorough inspection – Now is the ideal time for annual preventative maintenance steps that are important to pool maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, inspecting and replacing components in all of your system equipment.
- Clean your pool – It’s time to skim the pool, vacuum the pool and brush the pool. Leaf rake (bag) types skim nets are best, also useful for scooping large amounts of leaves/debris from pool floor. If pool is especially silty or has lots of algae, Vacuum Pool to Waste. Brush the pool thoroughly with a pool brush and remove any debris that has slipped inside of the pool.
- Check and balance pool chemistry – A really good pool water test kit is useful for this step. It is good to make sure that all of the chemicals are mixed properly and that there is a good balance of chemicals. Not too much or too little, as both of those cases could mean health concerns for the swimmers involved.
